I paint what reminds me of peace and hope. I paint both on location and in the studio and like to express how it feels to be there—how what I’m seeing reminds me of the goodness that surrounds us. To me, light is hope and colors are feelings. So maybe the tree trunks are redder, the colors warmer, and the light—well, the light filters through gently and consistently, like how hope comes through in my life. It’s never intrusive, always present, generously and quietly reminding me that better days—or perhaps even just better moments—are there when we choose to notice.

My miniature (2.5" x 3.5") has won 1st prize in the compeitition!
It's there for a few more days -- go see it if you're in the neighborhood. They got some great art supplies there too; definitely worth a visit.

Capitola Plein Air Festival in Capitola, CA
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to participate in the 10th annual 2025 Capitola Plein Air event.
I’ll be joining 39 other talented artists painting en plein air throughout Capitola from November 3–8, 2025. On November 8th, there’s a Quick Paint event, and on Sunday, November 9th, the festivities will culminate with a public exhibition and sale, where awards will be presented. This event is FREE to the public. Come enjoy the fun and perhaps even collect a piece of Capitola Art and Culture!
